Haven’t you got the World Cup soccer fewer yet? The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the governing body of world soccer is holding its games in Brazil. Games are held once in every four years since 1930 (except for 1942 and 1946 due to war) and 32 teams (the host country team qualifies automatically) have been qualified to battle for the covenant World Cup this year. Since 1930, Brazil has won the cup five times (reached final four 11 times), more than any other country. Qualification matches for the World Cup take place during the three years prior to the World Cup. Russia will hold 2018 and Qatar 2022 games.
The host country has spent enormous amount of money to host the games and they are held throughout the country. Brazilians are crying out foul due to the amount of money the government spending on games. The host country Brazil is favored to win the Cup this year. Games are scheduled to open on June 12, 2014 with a Group A match between Brazil and Croatia. Final will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2014 and a day before will be the game to select the third place finisher.
